♥ CROCHET BABY SANDAL ♥


MATERIALS
2oz (red) 1oz (white)100% cotton worsted-weight yarn
G crochet hook
Yarn needle for sewing and weaving in ends

SOLE (make 4 for a pair of sandal)

Rnd 1: ch10 sc in 2nd ch from hook,
sc in next 7 chs, for toe, 5 sc in last ch,
working on opposite of chs, sc in next 7 chs,
2 sc in last ch, join with a sl st in 1st sc.

Rnd 2: Ch2 (counts as 1st hdc) hdc in same st,
hdc in next 7 sts, 2 hdc in ea of next 5 sts,
hdc in next 7 sts, 2 hdc n ea of last 2 sts.
join with a sl st in top of ch-2.

Rnd 3: Ch2 hdc in 1st st, hdc in next 12 sts,
2 hdc in ea of next of 3 sts, hdc in next 12 sts,
2 hdc in ea of last 2 sts, join

Fasten off.

FOR THE TOE STRAP OF SANDAL (make 2)

Ch 13. Fasten off, leaving a 6 inch tail for sewing.

FLOWER
(with yellow yarn) ch 2

rnd 1: 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join

rnd2: (white or any color you want) attach the contrasting color,

ch 5, sc in same st, *ch 5 sc in next st, ch 5 sc in next st*

rep. from * to * until you have 6 petals & for the last petal

ch 5 sl st in next st. fasten off (7 petals made)leaving a 6 inch tail for sewing.

attaching the toe strap.

(right side) 1st strap. count back 7 st from center of the sole, sew the strap
then sew the end of 1st strap to the left side count back again 11 sts from center of sole then sew.

(right side) 2nd strap. count back 10 sts from center of sole sew the strap.
then sew the end of 2nd strap to the left side count back again 8 sts from center of sole then sew.

SEW THE FLOWER IN THE MIDDLE OF (X) 2 STRAP OF SANDAL..

fastren off.

HEELS:

count back 6 sts from the 2nd strap of sandal right side..
attach the (white) yarn, ch 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 15 sts.

ch 1, turn 1 hdc in each sts across,
ch 1 turn, 1 hdc across. fasten off.

for the heel strap and button. right sandal

strap: ch 13 sc in 2nd ch from hook ch2 sc in next chs across. fasten off.
sew the strap to the last hdc you made right side.

button: ch2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join. fasten off leaving a 6 inch tail for sewing.
sew the button to right side..

for the heel strap and button of left sandal

strap ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch2 sc across. fasten off
sew the strap to the left side of hdc sts.

button ch2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join. fasten off leaving a 6 inch tail for sewing.
sew the button to left side..

to finish the sandals sew seam the 2 sole or sc all around the 2 sole to finish.

  8. I had a hard time getting the heels to come out right, other than that they came out great! I made them 12mo size with an H hook. Purple soles, tan heel and toe with fluffy white flowers and a gem. To make different sizes, use different size hook.

  9. The pattern is very difficult to follow for the heel. Sorry I have had to scrap the heel instructions and create my own. Lovely idea tho
